L'oreal Paris ~ Casting Sunkiss Jelly

I only have a short blog post for you today but I will be following it up at the end of the week to show you the final results!
I purchased this yesterday from Boots for £5.99, I have put it in my hair 3 times and already it has lightened so much. My hair was a light brown colour with blonde ombrè and now it's a dark blonde colour all over, although, the end parts of my hair (where the ombrè was) are  a little bit lighter but is not very noticeable.  There are 3 different versions of this product, one for light brown hair, one for dark blonde hair and one for medium blonde hair. They all end up with different results due to your natural hair colour. It also says on the box 'only for use on un-died hair', although, like I said earlier, I had ombrè hair which didn't really make a difference to the result that I have. I have 2 more applications left until I can see the final result.

I really like this product as it makes my hair feel very soft and conditioned. It is also suitable for sensitive skin, as I have very sensitive skin and it hasn't affected that. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants lighter hair but a gradual lightening effect that won't be too harsh on your hair. I definitely think this product is so much better than regular hair dye!!

I can't wait to see the final result and I will let you all know what my hair ends up like!

Ultrasound Shockwave Therapy

Today I experienced something so odd and weird! Ultrasound Shockwave Therapy! Most of you probably won't know what that is, but neither did I until earlier today! I wanted to write about this as when I found out that I was having it, I couldn't find anyone that had been through the treatment so I didn't know what it was going to be like.  

Lets rewind a few years!!

As I'm a keen figure skater and have been for 14 years, I do loads elements that require a hell of a lot of flexibility! After years and years of skating, I started getting a lot of pain and discomfort in my right hip. If I moved a certain way, it looked like my hip was popping out (I know, I know it sounds disgusting, but it was funny to see! ;0) Anyway, after I had physio on it for a year, my hip was still so, so sore! I went back to my consultant, I was diagnosed with ' Iliopsoas Tendinitis' aka 'Snapping Hip Syndrome'.  Shortly after, I was diagnosed with 'Scoliosis' (abnormal, lateral curvature in the spine), at the same time I had a steroid injection in my right hip. It was so painful and I couldn't walk for a few days. The effects from the injection wore off and my left hip was also starting to give me a lot of pain. I was then offered 'Ultrasound Shockwave Therapy.'

My first session (today) wasn't as bad as I was expecting! The machinery looked scary, it looked like a big drill!! It sounded like a jackhammer!! The physio therapist put the ultrasound gel on my hip.. It was certainly a shock to the system!! It felt like someone was pinching my hip really hard and really quickly, but that feeling soon went and my leg felt numb, like I'd got pins and needles.  After the session was over, I didn't really feel a difference, but it definitely wasn't as painful as I was expecting!

After skating this evening, both of my hips feel quite achy, (the right hip more than the left), but other than that no pain whatsoever. But there is a little side effect that I have found, I get a little sharp pain in my hip (the same feeling as the therapy) and then, my leg twitches, (looks a bit funny when you're just walking around though! ;0)

Brownie In A Mug!

I really wanted to blog today but I had no idea what to write about. I also really wanted cake and I was searching up how to make cakes from scratch and I found a recipe for a 'Brownie Mug'. I have watched some videos on YouTube on how to make them and am now going off to try and make one!


Put 2 tablespoons of melted butter/margarine in your favourite cup or mug. Then mix 2 tablespoons of water in. Add 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract  The recipe I followed said to put in a 'pinch' of salt but I found that a bit too much, so I just put tiny, little bit in the mixture. Mix again. Then add 2 tablespoons of plain flour, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (I used Cadbury's hot chocolate mix) and 2 tablespoons of sugar (best to use brown but white will also work.) Then make sure everything is mixed well. Then put in the microwave for about 30 seconds and check the texture, if you want a more cakey texture, microwave for longer!


I've just made my mug brownie and the results were................................................not very good! :(  I tried it twice! The first time, I put a 'pinch' of salt in the mixture and when I had microwaved the brownie, it tasted so awful and horrible and I had to spit it out! The second time I went wrong again, I forgot to put the vanilla extract in! Oops! So it didn't taste particularly great! It did look quite nice though! Also, I microwaved it for too long so it had more like a cupcake then a brownie like texture.

I did also film and take photos whilst doing this but my phone died halfway through so it would be useless adding them to the post! I will try it again one day and hopefully get it right and film it properly, although, it might take me a while!

Dealing With Panic and Anxiety Attacks

I've wanted to talk about this for ages, whether it be through a blog or over YouTube, but seeing Zoe's (Zoella) and  Sammi's (BeautyCrush) YouTube video's have really inspired me to actually get started and write about it. This blog post is a lot different to my last post, but I think it's something that  we are not educated enough about. It are very serious and very scary, especially going through it alone. I want to try and help some people that go through these horrible experiences, even if it's only one person.

What's the differences between Panic and Anxiety attacks?

An anxiety attack is caused usually from a stressful environment; for example, being in the dark, not knowing who or what is around you or what is going to happen.  An anxiety attack, people might feel fearful and feel there heart racing or be short of breath. Although, it is very short lived, and when the stress goes away, so does the attack.

On the other hand, a panic attack doesn't come from a stressful situation, it's unpredictable and is not caused by anything. During a panic attack, the person experiencing it is seized with fear and terror. They feel like they're are going to lose all control of everything.  These attacks can give you chest pain, shortness of breath and/or dizziness.

Some of you may have never experienced anything like this, but you probably know someone who has. If you do, you know that it's a very scary thing to see, you feel helpless and don't know what to do. There are many ways to help someone, if you think they're having a panic attack.  

1. try and find what the cause of the attack was.  It could have been something they're fearful of or even another medical condition.

2. Put them at ease. Take the person to a less crowded and quieter area. Make them feel safe and comfortable. Try and encourage them to control their breathing.

3. The most important step is to try and understand what they're going through.  The attacks can last from minutes to several hours, so be patient.

Dealing with someone having an Anxiety attack can also be very difficult because not a lot can help them.

1. Remind them that they are safe, and make them feel comfortable.

2. Make sure or remind them to breath properly, as it can help the dizziness and breathlessness from the symptoms to ease.

3. If in a crowded place, take them away to a quieter and less crowded place.

If you are experiencing a panic or anxiety attack yourself, it can be such a scary and traumatic experience, some things that can help you are:

1. Remind yourself that the things scaring you and causing you to panic will pass and they wont always be there.

2.  Make sure that you still breath properly and take long deep breaths to keep yourself from hyperventilating.

I wanted to write about this because they're actually quite common disorders, although, it's not really a talked about subject. I also wanted to tell you about my personal experiences of having these attacks. My panic attacks, used to happen whilst at skating competitions. I would be nervous anyway, but I would be doing my programme (routine) and get short of breath, due to having asthma, and because of not being able to breath, I would start panicking which would make my breathing worse. This happened quite a few times, with two of the worst times ending up in my collapsing on the ice, due the hyperventilating. I have now got past that happening whilst skating by reassuring myself that nothing bad is going to happen, and making sure I take in deep breaths whilst performing and my fab parents that helped me get through it!

What I would just like to say is that you don't have to go through it alone, it is definitely better to talk to someone about it and know that someone is always there to help you, whether they're stood next to you, over the phone or even on the internet.

Prom 2014

As most of you know, in your last year of secondary school, you have this party after all of your exams have finished, called Prom. For anyone that doesn't know what Prom is, it's a celebration of the end of your time at school and say goodbye to everyone. Its a chance for girls to dress up in beautiful dresses and have their hair and makeup done perfectly. And also for boys to dress in smart suits and take the girl they've been crushing on to a party! (No one asked me :/ but I went with my friends)Anyway, back to the post! My Prom was on 27th of June 2014 at The Park House Hotel, it was really fab! I wore a lovely red dress from a shop in Cannock called Celebrity (if your prom is soon, have a look there, its amazing.) My shoes were from New Look and where just black wedge heels with some sparkles on the front. My best friend did my make up, on my eyes I had a black smokey eye look with a small hint of red, I just did my normal foundation routine, and contoured my face, filled in my eyebrows and on my lips I wore a red lipstain from Rimmel. My best friend also helped with my hair, I did the halo style braid and curled the rest of my hair ,I loved this hairstyle after seeing a YouTube video from Zoella, ( I will leave the link below.) Also if you would like me to do a full blog post on this prom look, let me know in the comment section below.

I travelled to prom in a old yellow VW campervan which was so adorable, me and my friends where the only people who used one for transport (I think.) When we arrived at Prom, we were greeted by our classmates and our teachers, and had loads of photographs taken, although, my favourite pictures were taken on my phone and are really bad quality. Inside, we had a buffet meal, although, I only ate a few chips because there wasn't anything else that was vegetarian, which upset me because I love food, (I really do!)
After we had eaten, the disco began, everyone danced from about 8pm until 11pm, it was so tiring but so fun! All of the teachers that had gone to see everyone at Prom were also on the dance floor, embarrassing themselves but it was so lovely to have everyone back together for the last time. 

Prom finished at 11pm and I was so happy to go home, put my pyjamas on and take my makeup off!! The night was so good, and it was a lovely way to say goodbye to all of the lovely friends I had made and say thank you to all of the teachers. If you have the chance to go to Prom, go go go, it is a night you will never forget. I understand that Prom can be quite expensive, but you don't have to have a huge dress, or the most expensive shoes, most people at my schools Prom wore cocktail/evening dresses and they looked beautiful. I was privileged to be able to have the kind of Prom dress that I did, so I would like to say another huge 'THANK YOU' to my fabulous mom and dad.

I did try to leave a few of my favourite pictures from the night but it didn't work, sorry.

Hello wonderful blog readers,

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!

I am very happy to finally join the exciting blogging community, it has been long overdue! I have wanted to start a blog for such a long time but honestly, I was too scared, scared if people took the mickey out of me, or said horrible things about my blog, but now (about a week ago, haha) I've realised, if it's something I'm interested in, I shouldn't be bothered what other people think.

I have been reading different blogs for ages and ages, all kinds of blogs, about fashion, beauty or even just about peoples lifestyles, and I thought, if they can do it, why can't I? Reading peoples blogs and seeing how successful they can be, how many amazing opportunities can stem from blogging and even seeing how many new people they meet, just from writing about something they're interested in really does inspire me!
I will post as regularly as I possibly can (which will probably be quite often as I have finished school until September, woo!)
